London Ambulance Service
Великобритания
Добавлен 3 ноя 2008
We are the busiest emergency ambulance service in the world to provide healthcare that is free to patients at the time they receive it. We are also the only London-wide NHS trust.
We serve more than seven and a half million people who live in the capital, as well as visitors and commuters to the city. This covers about 620 square miles, from Heathrow in the west to Upminster in the east, and from Enfield in the north to Purley in the south.
Our main role is to respond to emergency 999 calls, providing medical care to patients across the capital, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Other services we offer include providing pre-arranged patient transport and finding hospital beds. Working with the police and the fire service, we are prepared for dealing with large-scale or major incidents in the capital.

Celebrating International Women’s Day - Meet #TeamLAS
Always wanted An Paramedic Boilersuit
Complete change now, Witnessed a young woman trip over a high kerb and bang her head , she had a split above her eye and a nosebleed . Ambulance parked not 15 ft from her with male driver sitting just watching . I beckoned him but he just stared like he was a stuffed dummy. About 30 seconds later a female 'paramedic' walked across the road with a coffee and sandwich from the bakers . Her best effort was just standing 5 ft away and said "You alright yeah?" then quickly proceeded back to the ambulance. They both sat there eating and drinking . I approached them and asked what they were going to do with this woman sitting bleeding on the pavement ... the reply... "Not our call " Apparently , we would have to ring up 999 for them to be given the job. Unbelievable ! it was down to me and an old chap to give her paper tissues and the lady that was with her helped her to her feet. This country is BROKEN , No -one cares anymore .
That’s horrendous! They at least check her out and take to the hospital 🏥. I hope the poor woman get help in the end. 😪
These people are brilliant
Fair enough. All the best to the autistic people of London!
The way the Windrush generation have been treated, the scandal etc is beyond disgusting. These wonderful human beings came here and worked their arses off, sharing their experiences and cultures while assimilating to ours. They deserve the respect of all of us. That so many dedicated their lives to the NHS and other public services is worthy of adoration. Instead their existence was turned into a political football, absolutely disgraceful.
❤
Sorry no ambos are available all at st paddy’s day
The 1970s Ambulance looks like a Mail Truck dose it deliver injured people instead of Mail?☠
Big mistake you bunch of goons.
Ah yes, fully electric. Completely modern… But still has halogen headlamps 😂😂😂
nice, why did they remove the cuthrough to the drivers cab from the back like they have on the Mercedes?
You guys are my heroes. God bless you all ❤️🙏
I required to wear a tie during my training. First day, dropped it in an unmentionable liquid, while I was wearing it. Nope. Tried a bolo tie, my instructor was furious. Hated it. Called it unprofessional. It still had long pieces, I wasn’t happy either. Still hated the idea of a tie. I went to a tuxedo shop, bought the largest silk bowtie they had. Cost a ridiculous amount. I kept it reverently clean and well shaped. My instructor hated it. Staff snickered. “He made me wear a tie. This is a tie. This is a NICE tie. He has nothing to complain about.” Subsequent classes were not required to wear a tie.
Luckily the fat size has remained the same 😂😂😂
No matter what the uniform, they’re amazing people 😍😍😍😍
I remember the big strike because Maggie Thatcher wanted paramedics. Not ambulance drivers, because that's what they were, not the HIGHLY skilled professionals they are now. I don't support the strike, and the news was all sympathetic. Thank god she stood upto them, look what we've got now, freaking amazing.
[citation needed]
Things have not change in society, violence, drugs, etc. We just have to carry on and rely on God to get through life. Bless the emergency services and police officers.
Fat medics. They've been eating a lot.
The 60s paramedic uniform looks very much like the uniform used by the RAF
And the USAF. Looks a lot like USAF service dress.
I dont want to be that person but It'd be great if we could have a little formality back. Paramedics wearing suits is cool. I do like the new green uniforms, though. Good video!
In general I don't disagree with you there, seeing i.e. posties back in hats etc would be kinda nice, but for specifically paramedics I'm not sure a suit is wildly practical?
Excellent. It’s just a shame that this capability doesn’t exist across all NHS Ambulance Trusts.
Hang on, this is cap cut text
What is the roadmap to get to critical care paramedic from paramedic?
I don't know about how London is but in the United States you have to be a nationally registered EMT then go to paramedic school become a nationally registered paramedic gain experience as a paramedic then take a critical care course
😢😢😢
Aww what a sweetheart! "She is a big girl"(said about her mom when she didnt know her mom´s age) 💕💕
Video was VERY helpful, thank you!!
Awesome
How about we talk about health and medicine instead of religion? You know, their jobs. Instead of trying to pit people against each other. Im pretty sure when someone is having a heart attack or someone is dying from a stabb wound. (You are in london) no gives a monkeys who comes to save them. They are just greatful all the tax that is stolen from them. Is finally benifiting them.
*Caller* I DONT F**KING KNOW
Superb.
Or, hear me out, shake them out of the seizure.
Very good thank you for the instruction
So basically sit back and watch
My child has epilepsy. Thank you for this post. I believe the more ppl know about seizures the better. Head trauma was the cause for my childs epilepsy. She was in a abusive relationship for 7 years. She did leave him.....thank you God! But, will forever live with this scary reminder. Knowledge is key ppl. There are alot more ppl out there that have seizures than you think. Knowledge may help you save a life. Again I thank you!
Thank you for posting this (and hopefully, presumably more). Always good to know these kinds of things. The only reason I know telltale signs of a stroke is that FAST (Face, Arms, Speech, Time to call) advert. Saw it once, never forgot.
Virtue signalling. Hope you can tactically deploy these based on actual live data as to range and incident / hospital / ambulance location. And can you have the heating on through out the vehicle?
Twice as expensive as a diesel. A fraction of the range before it has to recharge for hours. LIVES AT RISK people for the sake of net zero. Don’t be fooled by these gimmicks.
Arrives at an incident. First question is there somewhere where we can plug it in.
There are no plans for a St George's day parade.
Excellent call handler, really good. Actually, British call handlers are much better than American ones. Great job
IVE SEARCHED FOR THIS VIDEO FOR YEARSSSSS DAWG I SAW IT ON RUclips ON MY TV AND NEVER SAW IT AGAIN TILL NOW
Best skill mix on the road is male and female 👍🏻 In the interests of equality.......can we acknowledge the importance of representing the importance of the men in frontline, operational and leadership roles too..?
Can't wait to qualify as Nurse Paramedic in 2 years and get behind the wheel of this 💚
Sister, there are no women in my construction company.we need equal general participation in all industries
Cool ❤
Thank You NHS for the wonderful work you do and the unsung heroes in the 111 and 999 dispatch centres!💙🤍🎉😁
Once it's registered and someone can't text or talk and just rings are you able to tell their location and send someone to help
Woah !.. you have a lot more kit than I had in 1991 ..Bingo !! lol ..plus the fact you are much better looking than me !! lol Blessings Sis !! I was out of St. Georges RRU !
